Self-confidence. Some days we have it, some days we don’t. We’ve all faced challenges that have made us second-guess our ability to succeed and that’s okay! Especially when we take on new opportunities, whether it be in the job market, a new relationship, or moving to a new place! If you can relate, we’ve got 3 tips to help boost your confidence in your day-to-day routine and apply it to your next opportunities ahead!
Take care of yourself | Physically, mentally, and emotionally.
You’re sleep-deprived, you’re not getting the nutrients your body needs to function on a daily basis (we know, you’re probably reading this while running on five hours of sleep and seven cups of coffee), and you’re not motivated at all to even start with a self-care routine. But the reality of it – you can’t expect to be the best version of yourself while not giving yourself the tools to succeed. Aim for small wins through the week and don’t be too hard on yourself! Drink more water (get a cool water bottle, it always motivates you to want to use it!). Start off with a 10-minute walk every day, or finally go get that gym membership you said you would start in 2022 (it’s only March, go get em’!). Take a bubble bath and read a book once a week. Anything that helps you wind down – we have to slow down and recharge in order to be more productive in our tasks that require the most energy out of us!
Know what you’re good at! | In your personal life and in your career path!
When we have the chance to live out our purpose, we glow. Have you ever sat down and thought about what makes you feel “meaningful” in your day-to-day? Take out a notebook and brainstorm (or use your notes in your phone, it’s 2022 and #technology). Think about the skills that push you forward and your talents that make you “you”. Make sure you incorporate these little by little and don’t doubt yourself! Especially when you’re doing a job interview – you want to stand out and make sure your future employer know what you have to offer and bring to the table!
The Comparison Mental Block | Don’t let this little devil sneak into your head!
It’s easy to compare ourselves – ESPECIALLY with social media right in front of our eyes every. single. day. We are easily persuaded that the grass is greener on the other side – why not spend time watering YOUR grass and put those efforts into growing personally? Make an effort to set time away from the internet and focus on YOU. Affirmations is a great way to incorporate some self-love into your life! Set a reminder or download an app to get daily reminders of how great you are – and watch your self-confidence boost.
Conclusion:
Incorporating these habits into your daily routine will feel so empowering and you will wonder how you were functioning without them! We challenge you to stick with it for a month and look back and your progress – here’s to a better you!
